要約 大阪府高槻市阿武山古墳の昭和9年(1934)の発掘調査に際し, 京都帝国大学文学部考古学教室および阿武山地震観測所(志田順博士)により撮影された写真資料. 腐朽せずに出土することがきわめて稀な夾紵棺の貴重な出土状況記録であり, 原資料が再埋葬されている現況において, 最も重要な二次資料である. また, レントゲンフィルムは, 日本考古学にX線が利用された最初の事例であり, 学史的にきわめて重要である.
